High speed Tray line

This particular customer had won a new business to supply a number of SKUs of ready to eat tray meals made up of salad, protein and pasta to a major supermarket in the UK. 

We delivered a high-speed tray line producing up to 100 packs per minute. It was a twin lane double index line with multi head weighers; denesters; depositors; tray sealers; open chain conveyors; labellers; printers; metal detector; check weighers; and packing stations at the end.

The project included civil work including flooring; walling; extraction system; air handling equipment; and electrical works

The line was installed in a high care ready to eat live production area, next to a production line already in use. 

We managed the site under CDM with full responsibility for all major contractors on site for the installation phase. 

We worked very closely with the site senior leadership team and front line operations team, having daily meetings to ensure everyone was fully informed.  

We chaired a weekly project governance meeting with all key stake-holders, including Executive leadership team members, to update on the project and highlight any risks.
