Warehouse

This customer instructed us to deliver a project based on a design created by us.

The project entailed converting 3 large areas of a large factory into a 2,500 pallet capacity chilled and ambient warehouse with storage for allergen and oils. Offices for staff and major changes to movement of people, FLT and large delivery vehicles on the site were also part of the project.

We led a team of architects, fire safety consultant, extraction system consultant, building regs inspector, contractors and an on-site team to deliver the project

We created a detailed design of the warehouse and ensured all stakeholders were in agreement before creating a detailed project plan including work packages and capital cost.

We also carried out a detailed survey of the 3 production areas which were not fully decommissioned.

We managed the site for the project under CDM and delivered the warehouse in full and on time. Key workstreams of the projects were: flooring work, including removal of major concrete work; wall alterations; new LED lighting; new fire alarm system; roller doors; decommissioning of the equipment and service areas; relocation of a box erector machine; changing the layout of people and vehicle movement across the entire site; racking; ventilation; new foot bridge; and office move.

The warehouse has been a great success for the customer.
