Redesign Food Factory changing rooms

The client was operating a costly and inefficient system for dispensing PPE for a food factory site. The site had 7 production areas with a changing room for each. There was a central PPE dispenser for all 7 production area staff. This arrangement had led to lot of unnecessary movement of staff across site and cost of labour for PPE dispensing.

We designed a solution to decentralise PPE dispensing and automate activities such as boot washing to address current hygiene issues. This redesign reduced cost of overall operations and eliminated unnecessary movement of people.

We redesigned all 7 changing rooms to allow for a one-way flow system and an automatic boot washing facility. Capital cost of the project had less than 12 months of return of investment (ROI) period.
